You will be head of the Operations department in Grid Automation Systems, within Operating Unit (OU) Scandinavia.
The unit is responsible for marketing, sales and delivery of ABB's complete grid automation portfolio of products, systems and services on the Danish, Norwegian and Swedish markets. Our offering is being provided mainly to end customers and system integrators active primary within the transmission, distribution, industry, power generation and railway market segments. Our organization consists of approximately 140 employees in Denmark, Norway and Sweden and is a part the Business Unit Grid Automation (PGGA).

As head of the Operations department in Norway you will be responsible for successful delivery of the full project portfolio of turn-key grid automation system projects. Your responsibilities include all commercial and contractual aspects within the projects, and you will make sure our customer commitments are delivered on time and with excellent HSE and quality performance. It is your task to make sure our projects deliver the expected revenue, profitability and cash flow, to decide on the best project setup, to allocate resources, and to handle risks and opportunities within the project portfolio.
Your team consists of Projects Managers and an engineering department with its own dedicated Manager. Your primary task will be to coach, lead and develop this team. You will also be leading project reviews, resolve escalated issues, and consistently apply contract and claims management. It will be important that you build and maintain relationships with key external and internal stakeholders. On a regular basis you will also participate in negotiations with customers, suppliers and subcontractors.
In this position you report directly to the Operating Unit Manager, and you will be part of the OU Scandinavia management team.
This is a senior management position, why we see that you have extensive leadership experience with staff responsibility. Experience from the transmission and distribution industry, preferably within the area of grid automation, as well as from working with customers and suppliers are also important. You hold a technical university degree, or equivalent.
You enjoy leading, motivating and developing people, and are used to building strong relationships with suppliers and customers. You are highly self-motivated team player with a result-oriented mindset, and likes the challenge to make your team deliver excellent results.
Finally, you need to be fluent in Norwegian/Scandinavian and English.
