Control System Lead Engineer
We are now facing an increasing interest for our legacy product portfolio, as well as building a leading position as a provider of offshore renewables solutions.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
We are looking for a candidate who can lead our Control System group within the Engineered Solution. The position will be a leading role to develop and position the team to meet the challenges of the future.
The Control System team develops control systems, simulations and software using:
- Industrial controllers suchs as PLCs in combination with commissioning of electrical drives and field instrumentation
- Object oriented programming language e.g. Structured Text, C++, Python, and C#
- HMI development using for example Qt or PyQt
- Real-time 3D Visualization tools e.g. Unity or Unreal Engine 4
- Communication between PCs/PLCs/Devices using TCP/IP, UDP/IP, Profinet, EtherCAT
Competence:
The candidate(s) should have a Master degree or Phd within Control System or Software Engineering and some experience with innovation, research and development work and competencies within some of these areas:
- Applied mathematics, especially 3D geometry and vector/matrix algebra
- Object oriented programming knowledge e.g. C++ and Python
- Numerical methods for Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs)
- Real-time control system development
- Advanced control theory for MIMO (Multiple-Input- Multiple-Output) control systems e.g. state feedback
- Inverse and forward kinematics for 6 degree-of-freedom robots and closed kinematic chains e.g. knuckle boom cranes
- Matlab/Simulink development, especially Simulink coder tools for automatic deployment to specific targets such as PLCs
- Sensor fusion using Kalman filters and multiple sensors such as cameras, LIDAR, laser and MRUs
