About the department
The role as District Manager is a field based position in the Norwegian sales department for Novo Nordisk product portfolio within diabetes, based in the district Akershus and Oslo. You will be a part of a great sales team and report directly to the Sales Director for Norway. The sales department is responsible for all matters related to diabetes sales for Novo Nordisk Norway and to market our diabetes products towards HCP’s at general practices and hospitals in Norway.
The job
As District Manager for diabetes your main objective is to ensure results on products and market shares by delivering Novo Nordisk brand values and treatment strategies within both primary care and specialized care, as well as to maintain Novo Nordisk as market leading and preferred partner within the whole district. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining effective relationships with customers to obtain and secure a high quality in product presentations and education. Furthermore the responsibility includes district planning and reports, budget management and proactively identifying and optimizing business opportunities. Another important objective and key area is to establish strong networks and productive business relations with prescribers as well as primary centres and hospitals. The responsibilities included in the role entail participating in and contributing to regional meetings, national conferences and cross functional project teams within Novo Nordisk Norway.
You need to reside in or very close to the district, Akershus and Oslo. This is a temporary position during 12 months, with the possibility of an extension.
Qualifications
You hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher academic degree, preferably as a nurse, pharmacist or equivalent. Approved LMI certificate is mandatory. Experience of diabetes treatment, pharmaceutical sales with a developed network and a proven successful sales track record is an advantage. We would also like you to have insight in the decision processes in acquiring medicine to the public sector and that you understand the framework, laws and regulations for the Norwegian health care system as well as the pharmaceutical industry.
You adapt positively to new challenges and have a positive attitude, energy and endurance, as well as great communication skills. You are able to build trusting relationships with different contacts and interactions, such as our key customers. You are motivated by reaching targets and working towards goals and have an urge to deliver and perform independently as well as with your team. Furthermore you have a structured approach to your work and a good understanding of how to prioritize and plan your work. You must be fluent in both spoken and written Norwegian and English, and be a skilled user in different business systems as well as used to working with the Office package. You also enjoy traveling and have a valid driving licence.
