Post Doctor position within Co-simulation
About the position
Co-simulation is a technique in which simulators are executed simultaneously while exchanging data during run-time, where each simulator may implement different numerical techniques tailored to a specific physical or mathematical problem. This allows individual models in a co-simulation to be implemented using the most appropriate tool, and then simulated together to form complex heterogeneous system, like vessels, that require models from different domains. The black-box property of co-simulation also enables model-reuse, collaboration opportunities between companies, distributed execution and parallelization of simulations.
There is an increasing research interest in using standardized co-simulation functionality in order to realize complex cyber-physical systems and digital twins.
