R\&D Engineer -- Firmware/Electronics Design
In this position you will be part of the electronics team in R&D. This team is responsible for firmware and electronics design in the robot control system and the process control system. The team works with a broad specter of technologies like sensors, analog electronics, FPGA, microcontrollers, microprocessors, SoC, power design and safety design. Those technologies are combined and integrated into electronics circuit boards to be located inside the robot controller and manipulator. In addition to work with your teammates you will also cooperate closely with engineers from other disciplines like embedded SW and mechanical design.
We look for a Firmware/Electronics engineer with Bachelor/Master’s degree and experience within one or more of the following areas:
- Electronics design in general
- Analogue and digital design
- VHDL/Firmware design for FPGA/SoC
- Embedded CPU system design
- Embedded systems
- Ex design
- Power design
In Robotics at ABB, you will design and develop new products, and follow the product from idea through construction and testing to completed product. The product or system lives up to important standards and norms for paint robots. Maintenance of existing products is also part of the work. You will collaborate in a dedicated and multi-discipline environment, and benefit from internal and external network, this may also include our end customers.
Personal skills like structure, punctuality, ability to complete tasks and deliver according to plans are appreciated. You have a good writing and oral wording ability in Norwegian and English.
