CMC Manager
We are currently looking for a CMC manager to join our ambitious and dynamic team at Vaccibody. This is a great opportunity to learn about the entire drug development value chain for a candidate with biotech or pharmaceutical CMC environment experience.
Vaccibody was founded in 2007 and is one of the most exciting Biotech companies in Norway. At Vaccibody, we develop cutting-edge, targeted DNA vaccines for clinical use, based on a deep understanding of immunological principles. Since 2007 our company has experienced rapid growth, today counting more than 30 employees working across the clinical operation, CMC, bioinformatics, BD and research teams.
We are now strengthening our CMC team and are looking for a highly motivated individual to become our CMC manager. You will be involved in monitoring of the supply chain activities for VB10.NEO and other vaccine programs including: Overseeing the activities during manufacturing e.g., sequencing of neoepitopes, gene synthesis, process development and manufacturing of biologics, supply of clinical trial material and CMO/CRO oversight. The ideal candidate has experience and interest in working in an exciting, growing Biotech company with a broad variety of responsibilities and opportunities.
As a member of our Vaccibody team, you have the ability to identify and solve critical problems in a timely manner. Furthermore, you have a systematic way of working in addition to being flexible and enjoy handling multiple tasks/projects concurrently. You are also driven by an eagerness to work in the lab, supporting routine and developmental activities.
Key responsibilities
- Responsibilities within tracking and logistics of manufacturing supply chain
- Close contact with clinical sites, CRO’s, CMO’s, including the software developer for the tracking tool
- Perform laboratory tasks, e.g., in vitro testing of intermediates during manufacturing
- Contribute to development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of the chain of custody of neoantigen-based DNA plasmid cancer vaccines
Qualifications
- B.Sc or MSc in biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, biomedical scientist or related scientific discipline
- Knowledge of HPLC, qPCR, ELISA and ELISpot technologies/assays
- Excellent English language skills, both oral and written
- Relevant experience from/or interest in biotech/pharmaceutical CMC environment
