Product Development Project Manager
As the Project Manager, you will manage new software development projects from start to finish, coordinating between relevant Farmforce departments, the Executive Team, external resources, and pilot end users. This cross-functional facilitation is critical to keeping projects progressing, incorporating feedback and communicating progress in technical and layman’s terms to enable clear project visibility.
The perfect candidate has 2+ years of experience in software or IT system project management experience. The individual needs to demonstrate a sense of urgency, passion in their work, and a desire to expand Farmforce’s global visibility and technical platform capabilities.
Responsibilities:

Organize software development projects with the team -- from creating inception documents, high-level planning, and technical architecture documents -- to give management a clear overview on which to provide feedback.

Document review discussion outputs and manage feedback cycles to create, improve, and evolve the large software development project designs and action plans.

Plan, schedule, and facilitate the delivery of each software development project component, in accordance with organizational and platform requirements.

Prepare bi-weekly ongoing project status updates with estimates vs actuals, progress against the timeline and any outstanding decisions to be made.

Report on the software development team’s utilization rate every 2 weeks and develop team capacity planning on a rolling 1, 3 and 6-month basis.

Prepare monthly invoices for clients for custom software development projects.

Facilitate and document planning exercises for upcoming software development projects, involving the operations, development and other relevant teams.

For new projects -- research partners, commercial considerations, and technical requirements of features/modules, organizing calls with parties to document and then analyze their offerings.

Manage planning, technical design, and estimation for roadmap feature implementation, documenting for easy evaluation by the management team to prioritize features during workshops.

Cultivate a deep understanding of Farmforce’s value proposition, product and clients.
Required Qualifications:

2+ years of IT Project Management experience

A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject

Demonstrated ability to lead/facilitate/communicate with cross-functional teams

Experience planning, tracking and facilitating projects using applicable tools (Gantt, Burndowns, MS Projects, etc.)

Deep technical knowledge of software and IT system development

Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated technical problem-solving skills

Strong prioritization, time management and organizational skills

Thrives in a rapidly changing, fast-paced tech start-up environment

Experience in New Product Development preferred
