You will be part of our Development and Operations Department team, which currently comprises of 11 staff members. The primary function of this role is to frame, build and review integrated reservoir models for oil and gas projects in the company's current and future non-operated asset development and production portfolio. Initially this position will be assigned to build geological models for some of the prioritized non-operated development assets: Skarv, Tommeliten Alpha, King Lear, Duva, Shrek and Gina Krog. Duties and responsibilities
- Build geological models
- Use probabilistic simulation work flows to estimate ranges in field performance forecasts and reserves
- Participate in improving and/or initiating corporate best practice approaches in geological modelling and reservoir characterization
- Ensure all opportunities are progressed in compliance with Stage Gate Process
- Influence Asset Work Plan and Budgets for assigned fields and align them internally
- Represent PGNiG in Reservoir license committees for non-operated production and development licenses
- Undertake studies and projects for asset evaluation
- Build and maintain company data base
- Recommend data acquisitions
- Participate in data room visits with interdisciplinary project teams
Qualifications
- Master of Science degree, preferably in geology and/or geophysics
Personal qualities
- In particular we are looking for candidates who can clearly document in their application a minimum of 5 years experience within the following areas: Geological modelling, reservoir characterization, prospect mapping and modelling for QC of the operator's models; Seismic interpretation, depth conversation and attribute analysis of 3D seismic data; Hydrocarbon resource assessments, risk analyses and input to technical economic evaluations
- Geological and geophysical software skills
- Leadership and problem solving skills
- Fluent in English with strong communication and presentation skills
- Norwegian and/or Polish language skills will be advantageous
