Workshop Technician in Tvedestrand
We are looking for a full time Workshop Technician to join the team in Tvedestrand, Norway.
The Workshop Technician's main purpose is to participate in and take responsibility for all the workshop activities based in Tvedestrand, in line with all ICR procedures. To safely operate all workshop machines, tools and materials for Quickflange in Norway to support operations.
The role reports to the Logistics and Production Manager.
The main tasks involved in the role are:
• To ensure the workshop and activities are compliant with all ICR safety procedures
• To coordinate the maintenance procedures and execute maintenance and service on Quickflange equipment
• To assist with the inspection of new or third-party equipment, and update SAP accordingly
• To operate the workshop machinery and participate in required risk assessments
• To coordinate with the Project Coordinator with regards to the purchase of goods and equipment for the workshop, based on min/max stocking
• As required, support the Technical department in fabricating test spools and carry out tests
• To assist with mobilisation documentation and mobilisation of equipment
• To perform inspections/acceptance control of Quickflange Tool parts and other materials such as pumps, hoses, pelicases etc.
• To carry out tool assembly and factory acceptance test (FAT) of new tools
• To coordinate deliveries and collections from suppliers and clients
The successful applicant will have the following responsibilities:
• To undertake all workshop activities in compliance with ICR procedures
• To deliver a technical support from and within the workshop, ensuring the maintenance of Quickflange tool inventory
• To ensure a quality and HSE focus at all times
The successful candidate should have the following:
• Pipe Fitter education
• Quickflange experience (preferred)
• Good working knowledge of hydraulics and hydraulic systems
• Experience of mechanical repair and maintenance, preferably within pipes and pipe systems
• Good knowledge of English both written and verbal
• HSEQ focused, service minded and structured
• High standard of ethics and workmanship
• Technical understanding and interest
• Attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently
