Join the world's leading logistics provider within Seafreight in an independent role, where you will be providing and selling our solutions to customers within the Northern district of Norway. You will join a dedicated sales team to drive continued growth and commercial success with our solutions within Seafreight forwarding at Kuehne + Nagel Norway.
YOUR ROLE
As Seafreight Sales Executive, you have sound knowledge of the logistics industry and avid interest in interacting with customers and understanding their businesses and needs to communicate the value of our products and services. Reporting to the Sales Manager based in Oslo, the scope of the role is to act as the bridge between our customers and the Norwegian Kuehne + Nagel sales organisation to meet and exceed business goals. The role is home-based, and you would be expected to cover the Northern district of Norway. As Seafreight Sales Executive, you will be acquiring new customers and maximising sales growth from existing customers within the Northern district of Norway. On a personal level, being self-sufficient, communicative and result-oriented are crucial personal attributes, since your role will entail internal and external communication with stakeholders both on a local and international level.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the single point of contact for our KN solutions within Seafreight and customers within the Northern district of Norway
- Acquiring new customers and provide our products and services within Seafreight forwarding
- Developing new and existing business opportunities within your district
- Identifying and prospecting new potential customers
- Be a reliable partner for our customers and ensure further commercial success
- Creating a pipeline and expanding our existing customer portfolio
- Managing, coordinating and preparing customer quotations in our CRM-system
- Maintaining accurate track of all sales activity via CRM-system, preparing forecasts and reports to ensure effective forward planning
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Experience from a similar role within the freight forwarding industry, preferably in Seafreight forwarding
- A proven track record within business development in the logistics industry
- Must hold at least a high school diploma degree, a degree within logistics or business is an advantage
- Commercially-minded and strong business acumen
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain customer relations
- Independent and self-driven
- Well-accustomed to working with Microsoft Office applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must hold a driving license(B)
- Fluency in oral and written Norwegian and English is a prerequisite
