Research engineer- titania materials
TioTech AS (formerly Joma International AS) is a small Norwegian nanotechnology-company. We develop and manufacture titaniumdiokside. Our patented titania nanoparticle, which we manufacture on ton-scale, is the key component in our solutions. Amongst titania`s many possible areas of use, we currently focus on photocatalysis and energy storage . Our products for photocatalytic surface treatment are commercialised, and we are therefore directing our R&D efforts towards a new business area - materials for electrochemical energy storage. Accordingly, we are strengthening our team with a technical person who will be based in our in-house laboratory.
We are looking for a Research Engineer who will work with development and optimization of titania nanoparticles for energy applications and electrochemical energy storage, including synthesis, post-functionalisation and characterisation of the particles.
We are looking for a technical person with:
-
MSc within the fields of materials development (preferably titania), chemistry or nanotechnology
-
Experience with chemical laboratory work
-
Interest for the field of electrochemical energy storage
-
Motivation for problem-solving to find innovative solutions for synthesis and process- challenges, as well as developing new products.
-
Ability to adjust to a wide variety of tasks, also including chemical analysis and maintenance of laboratory equipment
-
Excellent English and preferably good Norwegian skills
-
Experience with scale-up of chemical production processes is a strong advantage
The right person for the job is practical, flexible, self-driven and systematic. The position starts as a one-year project and can be extended for the right person.
We offer competitive salary, membership in the company`s favorable pension scheme and good health insurances. We look forward to receiving your application and CV!
