OKEA is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to strengthen the technical expertise and capacity in our Production Operation department.
OKEA ASA is a listed Norwegian oil company focusing on efficient development of discoveries and production on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and is operator of the Draugen field in the Norwegian Sea. Our portfolio includes fields in production, field development projects and near-field exploration, both as operator and as an active partner.
The Principle Process Engineer will be a member of the Production Operation department, a multidiscipline team set up to deliver operation and production support. Our goal is to ensure safe, effective, and efficient production. To safeguarding production through optimization of the production system and management of threats and realization of opportunities from reservoir to market.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Process engineering support in collaboration with the multi-discipline team
- Production system surveillance and optimization
- Maximizing value from Draugen, including working with a wide range of technical systems, opportunities, and challenges
- Technical work in your field of expertise
- Contribute in preparation and execution of HAZOPs and design reviews etc.
- Operations process engineer in projects
Qualifications
- MSc in a relevant subject (e.g. Process, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering). Relevant experience may compensate for less formal education
- 10 years’ relevant experience from Oil and Gas industry
- Skilled in process simulation tools (Hysis, Unisim or other)
- Experience from production system surveillance and optimalization
- Experience from process design
- Knowledge of Process Engineering guidelines and standards
- Knowledge in management of change
- Flow assurance competence
- Experience from HAZOPs and design reviews
- Experience from working in multi-discipline teams
- Good communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and oral
