Fjord Shipping is seeking a Vessel Superintendent

Vessel superintendent is responsible for
- Follow-up of vessels in operation
- Ability and capacity to follow up vessel maintenance
- Plan and manage maintenance, ship-repair / dry-docking
- Ensure compliance with IMO, Class and statutory requirements
- Motivate and follow up on vessels HSE performance
- Budgetary responsibility for assigned vessels
- Report to Technical Manager/Fleet Manager
- Work in close cooperation with HSEQ-department for improvement and streamlining of the company SMS
Preferred skills and experience
- Relevant maritime background
- Experience in equivalent tasks within shipping, classification and/or shipyards is preferred
- Able to work in a structured and independent manner
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Knowledge of Unisea reporting system and TM Master maintenance system is an advantage
- Efficient reporting / excellent communication and prioritisation skills
- Go-ahead and motivated spirit, positive attitude and excellent teamwork ability is highly appreciated

Om bedriften
Fjord Shipping is a ship management company located in Måløy, at the northwest coast of Norway. At present Fjord Shipping is operating a total of 20 vessels, mainly chemical and reefer vessels. The tanker fleet consists of 6 product & chemical tankers mainly trading light chemicals, vegetable and fish oil in north European waters. Our reefer fleet consists of 12 vessels, where two are powered by LNG. Vessel DWT ranging from 2200t to 5000t. The tankers are trading in compliance with various inspection regimes pending cargo to be moved, such as CDI, SIRE and Q88.
