We are looking for an Interpretation Advisor to be a key part of our team in Oslo. You will be responsible for the interpretation and integration component of CSEM projects, as well as for developing multi-client projects throughout the world, and interpretation material from multiclient datasets for sales and marketing purposes.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive interpretation projects based on regional geological knowledge, understanding of customer objectives and O&G exploration workflows, and how each of these can be related to existing EMGS products and solutions.
Develop Multiclient opportunities by identifying areas with high exploration potential.
Take customer solution responsibility for the project, including product QC in conjunction with the project QA Geophysicist, and lead dataset interpretation, typically in conjunction with the customer - acting as an interpretation facilitator, in customer offices.
Take customer solution responsibility in the sales process, both in the pre-sales phase (opportunity identification and qualification) and in the post-project phase (helping clients understand the CSEM interpretation and maximize value of their data).
Provide local customer training in the interpretation and integration of CSEM data in the exploration and prospect evaluation workflows.
Contribute to further development of sales and training material related to customer solutions.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Ideally, you have 5 years or more of experience in an E&P company together with a Master of Science in geology or geophysics. You have a thorough understanding of seismic interpretation, petroleum geology and exploration workflows leading to prospect identification, evaluation and ranking. Experience with CSEM data is a plus but not a pre-requisite, as you will get thorough training. Moreover, you are a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who can collaborate effectively within a diverse technical team and feels comfortable in client facing situations.
