You will be part of our Exploration Department team, which currently comprises of 11 staff members. You will take guidance from the Exploration Manager and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.
The primary function of this role is the interpretation of petrophysical data and other relevant information to evaluate hydrocarbon exploration potential for screening studies, concession rounds, license & business development work.

Duties and responsibilities
- Provide petrophysical input to exploration work on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and possibly international assets & opportunities
- Contribute to license application round work in Norway
- Participate in exploration committees
- Contribute to data-room evaluations for farm-in/farm-out activities
- Carry out evaluation of petrophysical data and other relevant information to evaluate hydrocarbon potential
- Contribute to prospect evaluation and risking
- Liaison with Exploration Geophysicists, Geologists, Reservoir Engineers and Drilling Engineers to ensure cooperation in the evaluation of prospects & discoveries
- Guide and coordinate petrophysical studies & regional petrophysical work
- Petrophysical input to well planning and data acquisition, and follow up of planned wells in non-operated licenses
- Support operated drilling activities
- Provide input to petrophysical software and petrophysical data base issues
- Participate in peer reviews as required
Qualifications
- Relevant M.Sc.
Personal qualities
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience
- High skills level in petrophysics, specifically an in-depth understanding of LWD, wireline, core, pressure and test data, and an ability to integrate core analysis in petrophysical interpretation and apply that knowledge into reservoir characterization
- Petrophysical software skills
- Petrophysical courses
- Ability to contribute actively to the team
- Fluent in English with strong communication and presentation skills
- Norwegian and/or Polish language skills will be advantageous
