Our Sensors and Robotics division develops and delivers world class connected sensors and smart robotics for Marine, Research and Naval applications. The division has the responsibility for KM's leading offering of Underwater Mapping systems, Underwater Positioning, Marine Robotics, Fishery and Naval Sensors, Precision Positioning and Sensing Solutions.
The Underwater Acoustics department develops products and services within Underwater Mapping, Ocean Sciences, Underwater Positioning and Communication, and Naval Sonars. Much of this equipment is used to explore and monitor our ocean.
An exciting opportunity has arisen as R&D Project Manager. In this role you will manage complex product development projects for our next generation of sonars. You will be working in a cross-functional team including product owners, principals, electronic- and software developers, mechanical designers, and all the way to the Supply Chain.
Key accountabilities
- Lead multidisciplinary project covering design, test development and manufacturing planning
- Plan and coordinate project tasks
- Project reporting
Qualifications and experience
- MSc level education preferably within EE, ICT, SW or mechanical engineering
- At least 5 years of experience from complex development projects in marine/offshore/governmental sectors
- Very good oral and written communication skills with fluency in English and Norwegian
- Experience with business tools, including MS Office, Project, AX/Dynamics and TFS
- Experience from structured processes like Agile, Scrum, Lean, Prince or similar
