Job Summary and Mission
Norwegian Crystals has an immediate opening for a talented QA Manager to execute product testing, manage the lab / testing environment and perform necessary quality assurance functions. Reporting to the Director of Technology and Process Development, the QA Manager will collaborate with Production to plan, establish, and execute quality assurance and control systems including standardized procedures and routines for product testing. The successful candidate will have the technical competence and knowledge to operate, calibrate and maintain the lab equipment, processes, procedures and deliver appropriate documentation / results.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's quality assurance and quality control systems, making sure the systems are in accordance with current standards and requirements. The role entails follow-up of lab equipment and collaboration with other departments and customers to ensure satisfactory product quality. The QA Manager works with functional and technical resources to design, execute and support the full testing lifecycle through proven analytical and problem-solving methods to validate product quality.
QA Manager Duties
· Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, support group counterparts, and executives to ensure compliance to external and internal quality standards and to meet quality goals
· Quality assurance of direct material including process assessment; process control plans; inspection plans; and statistical data
· Participate in fab-wide pFMEA activities to minimize risks to production
· Update Management on Quality Department and product issues
· Develop inspection methods to analyze product quality
· Improve product quality by making recommendations for change
· Work together with relevant teams and departments to improve products
· Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards
· Brainstorm ideas to create solutions for identified problems
· Formulate a strategic plan to increase productivity
· Document results and findings after inspections are carried out
· Implement a working system to ensure conformity and accuracy in the production process
Education
· BSc/MSc within relevant field.
Summary of Experience
· Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience (longer experience may compensate for education)
· Knowledge about standards and requirements for ISO 9000
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
· This position requires an individual who possess attention to detail and accuracy and requires excellent organizational skills.
· Prior experience working under an established Quality Management System (ISO 9001 or 13485) is preferred, but not required.
· CQA/CQE certification preferred
· English language proficiency, verbal and written, is required
· Norwegian verbal language proficiency is an advantage.
Job Scope
· 10-20% travel may be required.
