Duties and responsibilities
As brand manager you are part of the Brand, Insight and Content-team in Hurtigruten’s Global Sales and Marketing department. You are part of the Brand, Insight and Content management team. You drive and develop Hurtigruten’s group brand agenda and ensure prosperity for the brands. Through clear strategies and close collaboration you ensure value chain alignment on strategy and support them in delivering on-brand guest experiences. You collaborate closely with the global marketing and content teams to create world class storytelling and driving global brand fame. You ensure a diversified execution of the brands suited for markets and channels with different maturity and awareness level
You are accountable for:
- Developing and maintaining brand strategies, platforms, identities and guidelines in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Ensuring that brand platforms and identities are understood, executed upon and leveraged to build distinctive and attractive brands supporting the long and short term revenue targets of the group.
- Working closely with content creators supporting them in creating on-brand storytelling and strategic alignment in both brand building and product/destination/sales focused content
- Initiate development of brand stories and content and plan for its execution with global channels and local markets.
- Work closely with BU’s value chain to support on-brand experiences for guests
- Initiate brand related insight and work closely with Insight team to acquire insight needed for further brand development
- Brand training -- both on group brands and on branding in general
You will collaborate closely with:
- Global Marketing
- Digital channels
- Revenue marketing
- Commercial value chain and product business units, esp. brand experience teams
- Insight team
- Local marketing and sales teams
- Content producers (in-house and external)
- Group functions and management of group brands
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in strategic branding and content creation
- Proven experience in working with global/multinational brands
- Experienced in building loved, distinctive brands with passionate customers
- Experienced in guiding creative work on TOV, messaging, image style etc.
- Experience from brand experience design/implementation in multi-platform brands a plus (i.e. experienced in implementing brands in both digital, creative and physical environments)
- Experience in agile working methodology

- Skilled at translating a theoretical brand platform into something understandable and actionable for those who are not “brand nerds”
- Structured and creative, able to approach branding both from a systematic and storytelling perspective
- Excellent communicator in both spoken, written and presentational capacity
