Fleet Planner -- Sola, Norway
Leonardo Helicopters has a contract with the Norwegian Ministry of Justice and Public Security to support the new AW101 Norwegian All Weather Search and Rescue Helicopter (NAWSARH). As a part of this program, the company has established a multi-discipline liaison team in Norway. This team is responsible for the effective coordination and delivery of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements on behalf of the company to ensure Search and Rescue (SAR) Helicopter availability.
We are looking for a new team member to fill the role of Fleet Planner at the Sola SAR Base. The successful candidate will have previous relevant experience and will work in close collaboration with the RNORAF's AW101 Planner, to combine aircraft maintenance planning, fleet planning and helicopter operations knowledge in order to deliver detailed fleet plans to the aircraft operator, the Royal Norwegian Air Force. The role will be focused on activities in support of the achievement of aircraft availability on a daily basis, cognitive or routine maintenance requirements, the planned flying program and other activities scheduled in the future.
You will be a primary point of contact for information flow, to and from the Customer, working in conjunction with the Leonardo Helicopters Material Planner and will promote a healthy level of communication and data sharing across all the key stakeholders. Your main activities will include:
· Responsible on behalf of Leonardo Helicopters to assist and advise the customer on all aspects of the helicopter fleet plan
· Contribute to a joint fleet EMAR compliant maintenance plan that ensures availability and sustainment of the operating fleet
· Assistance and recommendations to the customer in planning for the forecast flying rate, scheduled deployments and optimal distribution or SAR Helicopters at each base.
· Manage the maintained configuration of the SAR Helicopters
· Monitor fleet usage in collaboration with the Customer
· Maintenance of effective communication between you and all relevant stakeholders
· Liaison with the Leonardo Helicopters Material Planner to ensure maintenance kits are available
· Liaison with the Leonardo Helicopters logistics support organization
· Maintenance of a flexible approach to Customer support anywhere in Norway at short notice
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
· Applicable technical qualification such as a formal apprenticeship
· Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience of which at least 2 years with relevant aircraft maintenance planning / scheduling
· IT literate with all basic desktop applications and company standard software. Working knowledge of MS Excel / Project desirable
· Be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative as well as within larger teams
· Be fluent in both Norwegian and English and possess good communication skills
· Confidently act challenging conversations. Listen, understand and respect different views and ways of working
· Possess business and commercial awareness
TRAINING
· Training required to fill the role will be provided, both in Norway and at the company's facilities in Yeovil (UK). The total period of this training is likely to be at least 4 months.
