Department Manager Cards & Direct Costs - Temporary
The Team
The Finance team is responsible for providing information to the stakeholders of EnterCard and serve as a trustee to ensure that all financial information used for decisions is accurate. Together we forecast profit and loss, provide analyses for investment decisions and report financial performance.
Due to a Parental leave (2021), we are now looking for a new Temporary Department Manager to join the team.
The Position
- Maintain full understanding of the financial health and direction of the EnterCard´s Card Business, as well as Direct Costs (primarily Marketing and Impairment, but also other Direct cost such as Fraud and Network transactions costs).
- Support the designated Executives to assist them in reaching their business and financial short-term and long-term goals.
- To work with the Senior Forecasting Specialist and Head of BP&A to play a key role in the financial planning and reporting work of the BP&A team
- Delivery of strategic financial planning to support planning and forecasting cycles including (budget) STP, 3-5 year plans (MTP) and forecasts (RAF’s)
- Provide commentary and insight into current and future business performance, including all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements
- Ensure the department is efficiently staffed in terms of resources and capabilities to meet current and future needs, to support the PBM way of working.
- Define the targets and secure alignment within the team.
- Driving efficiency by encouraging improvement of processes and sharing of best practices within team
You
- Experience with forecasting and reporting tasks.
- People leadership experience an advantage but not a requirement, given that candidate can demonstrate leadership potential
- Have min. 3 years’ experience within professional services, preferably in controlling or similar field
- Have strong analytical and strategic capabilities
- Graduate caliber/MBA or similarly qualified to be able to meet the intellectual and technical demands of the job
- Have strong MS Excel skills, as well as information structuring and presentation skills excel
- Are results and solution oriented with an ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Are proficient in English and ideally at least one Scandinavian language
- Have a continuous learning mindset and change orientation
- Sound knowledge of Consumer Finance, especially in the Cards business
- Are self-motivated with the ability to build good working relationships with colleagues outside of Finance team
- Are willing to travel within the Nordic region
