In Norway, Alstom is engaged in a major signaling project , which will carry out the renewal of the Norway train fleet (more than 400 trains) with the ERTMS technology with various classes of trains (passenger trains, freight trains, works trains).
The project is planned in two phases. During the first phase (2019-2020), also called GA Phase, the project is setting up in Norway and the onboard ERTMS will be installed in 3 trains for testing and validation of the Norway solution. The second phase called rollout or SA Phase (2021-2026) will consist in the installation of the onboard ERTMS in the Norwegian trains (> 400).
Main responsibilities:
- Advice, coach and support operational management in the implementation of the defined Quality & EHS procedure and actions
- Maintain the Quality and EHS management system based on Alstom policies and programs
- Establishes, implements and monitors the HSE Management plans, the Waste Management Plan and the HSE Site Plans (Grorud) to prevent accidents/incidents and environmental damages on the project.
- Ensure Quality targets of the final delivery are reached by properly following quality topics on the V Cycle (engineering, procurement, installation, testing )
- During the GA Phase of the project, guide the subcontractors to reach the necessary level of maturity in terms of Quality and HSE and secure the SA Phase.
- Make sure activities of sub-contractors are under control with respect to Quality and EHS.
- Ensure that there are adequate documented processes and procedures in place to address the activities of the business
- Ensure consistency of QCD objectives and the contractual/regulatory obligations applicable to the projects
- Support Project Management in achieving Quality and EHS objectives
Skills and education:
The successful candidate will have minimum a bachelor degree in Engineering (electrical and/or material) and professional experience between 3 and 8 years (depending on the size of the project) in a similar position. Strong knowledge in Quality & EHS management systems and operational experience from working on site or in factory is required .
Experience from railway projects would be an advantage. Fluency in English and Norwegian is required.
