ABB in Norway delivers simulation solutions for the ABB world leading automation control system. We are responsible for simulator product development and management, system deliveries, marketing and sales. The Simulator product development team is looking for a new developer to work in a highly skilled environment with much end-user interaction.
We face a lot of interesting technology challenges, and we use a mix of industrial control system software, current technology stacks and work processes to develop solid solutions targeting our customers' problems. We strongly support and encourage creativity, initiative and proactivity. Our office is based in Oslo with other related development teams and we have customers worldwide.

Your responsibilities
As our new developer colleague, you will be part of a team with high focus on technical challenges while having a lot of fun in a positive and innovative environment.
Nine highly skilled colleagues make up the Simulator product development team. The team holds strong development experience and competencies covering domain knowledge, technologies and work processes. We are always eager to learn and share and continuously develop new competencies to keep up with emerging technologies and to quickly master new challenges. Collaboration is fundamental to the team, and we follow agile product development, including build processes and DevOps method. With a passion for the customers, we have a high focus on communication skills and quality. The team spirit is based on curiosity, is open-minded and full of energy.
Your background
- M.Sc./B.Sc. in computer science, information systems, cybernetics, process or control engineering, information technologies or equivalent
- Passion for quality and interest in code design, SW architecture and agile development
- Curious about technology and processes, with a desire to stay updated and learn new things
- Good communication skills
- Have economical consciousness
Advantage if you have experience in one or several areas
- .NET Framework with C#, WPF, WCF and OPC UA
- Windows API with C++, COM/ATL and OPC Classic
- Firmware development
- Server technologies and network/security
- Industrial safety and automation systems
