Test Engineer (Software)
The Test Engineer (Software) is the position that will be located at Oslo, Norway and reports to the Head of R&D.
Job Description
Responsible for software testing strategy and writing test automation code. Working closely with engineering and providing key inputs to shape the software development cycle; delivering quality, efficiency, and full test coverage for our range of products.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Developing test strategies across all products.

Write test specs, create test cases and write test automation code (unit, integration and regression) to meet the quality gates and release requirements.

Recommend and implement a scalable, robust cross-project test platform using industry best practices.

Interact with stakeholders to develop a strong understanding of the project/product requirements and testing objectives.

Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.

Responsible for build /release management, ensuring that our Quality policy is applied to all and any shipped software.

Collaborate with colleagues across multiple teams and mentor other developers

Support to sales, production and customers in the field.
Skills and Expertise:
-
C / Modern C++ for real time embedded programming.
-
QT, Git, Boost.
-
Expertise on some or all: Python, Perl, Shell scripting.
-
Expertise with Test framework such as Gtest, Catch, Jenkins.

Linux as advanced user.
Bonus Points: Experience working with the following:
- MATLAB.
Qualification:
-
Master or equivalent in one of the areas Computer Science, Software Engineering.

5+ years of is preferred.
Personal skills:
· Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal skills
· Strong organizational skills with the proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities
· Strong analytical abilities (root cause).
· Fluent English communication skill.
