Role Summary:
The Systems Engineer has responsibilities extending to the development, implementation and tuning of the algorithms and control software used for generating world-class ultrasound images on handheld ultrasound products.
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop and implement image and/or signal processing algorithms
Requirements specification for the complete ultrasound imaging chain, data acquisition, through signal and image processing to final image display on screen
Software implementation, test and verification of front-end control software, including electronics setup (ASIC and off-the-self hardware)
Work with clinical experts on continuous optimization of system setup to enhance ultrasound image quality
Qualifications/Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or related computer field
Experience with design and development of signal processing algorithms and filters
Experience with Matlab
Experience in various programming languages, like C++, Python
Working knowledge in configuration management tools such as Git or subversion
Desired Characteristics:
Experience in software platform, advanced applications, user-interface design, embedded and/or systems engineering
