Responsibilities

  • Responsible for petrophysical evaluations and formation analysis to contribute to exploration, appraisal, and development activities in alignment with company standards and HSSE guidelines.
  • Responsible for data acquisition, log interpretation, and integration of core and log data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Business Management System (BMS).
  • Participate in multidisciplinary workflows, providing input to reservoir characterization.
  • Perform petrophysical log analysis, interpretation, and quality control (QC) of conventional logs and LWD data.
  • Support integration of core data with log interpretation to improve reservoir characterization.
  • Planning and follow-up of petrophysical data acquisition during well operations, including exposure to advanced logging tools (e.g., NMR, image logs).
  • Prepare and update post-well reports and documentation of petrophysical evaluations.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary reservoir characterization projects and provide petrophysical input as directed.
  • Follow established workflows and best practices for petrophysical interpretation and data management.
  • Engage in training programs, mentoring sessions, and technical networks to develop petrophysical expertise.
  • Good to excellent petrophysical knowledge in areas such as geomechanics, rock physics, well planning, and hydrocarbon volume assessment.
  • Contribute to lessons learned and workflow improvement initiatives.

Required expertise

  • Master's degree in petrophysics or related field, or equivalent education
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • Extensive experience with petrophysical software and methods
  • Basic understanding of project management
  • Proactive and independent executor
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to mentor junior staff
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
