Responsibilities and tasks:
The job includes a wide range of tasks such as:
- Key role in preparing and communicating fact based and precise analysis' to the overall Business Unit in Norway
- On an overall basis analyze monthly results for the business unit, identify trends and compare with historical performance, budget and suggest and communicate corrective actions
- Develop and maintain high quality Management- and KPI reports
- Be a driving force in change programs with focus on profitability and efficiency on projects, departments and in the country
- Act as key sparring partner for Director of Finance in all aspects of the business
- Controlling of projects in Hanøytangen, supported by the yard stay controlling team
- Sparring partner for local management and project controllers on financial performance and IFS (existing ERP system) optimization
- Secure best in class financial controlling for the Norwegian operational facilities in Hanøytangen and Stavanger
- Secure development of the financial awareness throughout the local management teams and act as key sparring partner for these with regards to financial controlling, budgets, forecasts, year end etc
- Prepare budgets, estimates and forecasts as per instruction from Superior
- Analyze the management accounts for operational departments in Norway, liase with the managers to increase their awareness of the financial impact of our operational setup, and prepare monthly review package for Management and Superior, based on the report produced by our global Shared Service Team
- Work closely with other departments across Semco Maritime to optimize our value adding activities
- Comply with and commit to Semco Maritime Group policies
Personal profile:
You have a structured and analytical approach and always find solutions. You are a team player working constructively with different personalities and nationalities. You will have a series of internal contacts, both in Norway and international, and externals in form of suppliers, customers, and/or auditors.
Knowledge, skills & experince:
- Solid experience with accounting or financial controlling, preferably from a project business, but could also be from a manufacturing company or other
- Deep ERP knowledge of all functions, services and processes and how they cooperate and interact with each other (Semco Maritime runs IFS supported by Microsoft Business Intelligence)
- Well-developed communication skills; understands how to explain the greater picture of details on an aggregated level
- Expert level in MS Excel
- Good analytical skills
- Team oriented
- Solution oriented
- Knowledge of IFS and/or MS Business Intelligence is an advantage but not a demand
- Educational background : preferred master level
