Role description and responsibilities
This role is part of a high performing site based finance and accounting team which is committed to adding value to the Sydvaranger operations through effective use of business analysis and management accounting. The opportunity allows for working with multiple stakeholders to provide advice to the operation and support the development and execution of strategic decision making.
Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
¿ Responsible for planning, forecasting, analysing and reporting of financial results.
¿ Business analysis, including valuation of projects and strategic financial modelling for validation of various business situations and scenarios.
¿ Provide support across a complex organisation with multiple mining areas, major capital projects and business wide support functions, in order to support financial comprehension and prudent decision making.
¿ Identifying financial opportunities to enhance the performance of the business and its strategic development.
¿ Communicate financial outlooks, evaluations, scenario analysis and recommendations through logical and interpretive presentation materials, able to be utilised for internal and/or external stakeholders.
Technical skills:
¿ Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Commerce, Accounting or similar financial qualification e.g. CA, CPA.
¿ Minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, management accounting or business analysis background.
¿ Highly advanced excel skills
¿ Prior experience with implementation of an ERP system is desirable.
Sydvaranger has two lateral working languages, English and Norwegian, respectively. Position holder must be able to master at least one of the languages and make him-/herself understood in everyday language as well as in his/her field.

¿ Work autonomously within a dynamic work environment and ability to adapt to unplanned and non-routine tasks as and when required.

¿ Team orientated approach to delivery of strategic priorities
¿ Having strong technical skills, business intelligence, and an understanding of the company strategy.
¿ The position holder must be precise and conscientious in her / his work.
¿ Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a variety of levels both within and external to the organization
¿ Have the ability to work both as part of a team, as well as independently
