Coop is Norway's second largest consumer retail operator, counting over 1250 stores and 28 000 employees across the country. Being an operator in a rapidly changing landscape, we are now setting the foundation to meet the high demands in terms of the development and innovation of digital products and services for our customers. With this mandate we founded CoopX in 2018. Now we are seeking talented UX designers to join us on our mission to build a world-class product and technology team that breathes and lives tech.
The goal of the position is to strengthen the product team at CoopX, and build a concept that works for Coops customers. The role will include a variety of tasks, some of which may include payment solutions and how to build smart features for the customers of Coop, together with user research. To challenge the status quo and conceptualising how the future should look like built on user research and strategy.This will need some thoughts into how to gain the customer loyalty, and explore what is already in use, in addition to come up with new ideas.

What you´ll be doing:
As part of the team you will:
- Be responsible for overall user experience in new products and services
- Obtain and understand user needs and problems, and quickly conceptualise and visualize this for developers
- Lead design workshops and user-testing with the rest of the team
- Take responsibility for fast iterations in developing good user-experiences, but also be able to think long term and see how the product or service should evolve over time
- Participate in designing goals and strategy for further work
You:
- Challenge the established and have a genuine customer interest
- Quickly draw new ideas and concepts, and lift concepts to the finished design and prototype
- Find the simple and intuitive solutions to complex problems
- Are enthusiastic and creative in your solutions, think new and challenge what is possible
- Are professionally confident and can argue from your point of view; tactically and strategically
- Enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams, and are well-informed about digital trends and opportunities
- Are passionate about qualitative insights that are of real value to the users of the services that match the business objectives

We are looking for someone who has:
- 2+ years of experience (with emphasis on mobile)
- Good product understanding
- Experience with research; quantitative / qualitative
- Dare to challenge
- Previous experience with interdisciplinary work with project managers, product developers, system developers, etc.
- Profile is more important than years of experience
Ideally, you´ll also have:
- Professional background in interaction design or similar
- Wide strategy understanding
- Experience with payment services
- Experience of managing product from start to finish
- A commercial point of view
- Good conceptual understanding
